Bill Gates just donated $750,000 to the campaign against Prop. 23 in California, a ballot initiative that would suspend air pollution controls on major polluters until unemployment drops to 5.5 percent for a full year. The initiative is backed by major polluters and allied organizations such as the Adam Smith Foundation.
