Finding a mentor can be tough. Who should be your mentor? How do you approach this person? Must it be a formal relationship-must the word "mentor" be uttered in the initial conversation? Born shy, I can appreciate the anxiety this can inspire.

It may therefore, dismay some that one career coach thinks CIOs in fact need a stable of five mentors. And I agree with her. After all, there are many aspects to a career; how could one person address all of them?
