What a week for Facebook. On Wednesday the social-networking giant announced it has 500 million members. And word has spread about The Social Network, an upcoming movie by producer Aaron Sorkin (of West Wing fame) that will tell the story of Facebook and its founders.

Now the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will guest star on The Simpsons. The 26-year-old executive will be the voice of himself, a billionaire who dropped out of school, on the popular cartoon.  The episode is rumored to air in October, around the same time The Social Network is slated to debut.

Can we all agree to give beleaguered Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg one day where he doesn't have to hear about his company's shoddy privacy policies? Do we really need a repeat performance of the king of social media fielding privacy questions while drenched in flop sweat, as he was at the D8 conference earlier this month?

The answers are no and probably, respectively.
