On Tuesday, Rackspace suffered an interruption to its cloud services due to a power outage in its Dallas Fort Worth data center. Although the outage only lasted for five minutes at Rackspace's data center, the ramifications of this event won't disappear nearly as quickly.
The outage came as Rackspace was performing maintenance on its systems to fix "power issues" that the Dallas Fort Worth facility experienced over the summer, according to Rackspace Cloud general manager Emil Sayegh, which had caused service interruptions in July and August.
