Questions were ambiguous -- not enough information to answer, or not clear questions. For example, your question about the vendor that offers to take you, and perhaps your spouse, out to dinner. Are they offering to take the spouse out or not? To me, if business is discussed and the spouse is not invited and the price is not exorbitant (>$150 per person), it is okay. Otherwise not okay.
