It\'s good to see Oracle finally catch up with its open source competitor, PostgreSQL, which has had this capability since 2003 or so. I saw an announcement from Oracle about an R connector about two years ago in March 2010 I think -- did it really take that long to make it into a release?

A survey last fall by the Ponemon Institute, a consultancy, found that the number of reported data breaches among healthcare organizations increased by about a third compared to the previous year.
