Vodafone testing new mobile Internet technology Print E-mail

LONDON (Reuters) - Vodafone is to trial an updated version of the mobile broadband technology HSPA, called HSPA+, to test if it can deliver higher data rates through an upgrade of its existing network equipment.

Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone company by revenue, said in a statement it would work with Ericsson , Huawei and Qualcomm to trial technology also known as HSPA Evolution which has the potential to handle data more efficiently.

The HSPA+ technology works by using multiple antennae on both the base stations and handsets, to transfer more data at any given time.

Its great to know about mobile internet technology called HSPA. it would be better if article illustrated in details about its use and future possibilities. I would like to know about how does it works and what about the technology possibilities if other companies want to establish mobile internet service with affiliating to your technology and company.
