IBM’s X-Force security research and development team recently released its 2010 Mid-year Trend and Risk Report that showed attackers continue to exploit new technology for their own political or financial gain. The report says hackers are leveraging many of the benefits of recent technology, such as automation and more manageable user interfaces, to gain unauthorized access and steal confidential information. Following are some highlights from IBM’s X-Force report.
