Navteq shareholders OK acquisition by Nokia Print E-mail

(Reuters)—U.S.-based digital map supplier Navteq Corp, which agreed to be acquired by Nokia Oyj for $8.1 billion, said its stockholders approved the merger agreement.


Shareholders representing over 75 percent of the issued and outstanding common shares eligible to vote, or over 99 percent of the total votes cast at a special meeting, were in favor of the agreement, the company said in a statement.
