Reuters) - Chipmaker Broadcom Corp does not expect to be hurt by Nokia Oyj's recent warning that it would lose market share in the third quarter and said it was on track to generate revenue from phone chip contracts with Nokia and Samsung Electronics in 2009.

"We don't see any real impact from the recent announcement by Nokia," Scott Bibaud, head of Broadcoms' mobile phone chip business, said during a webcast of a Deutsche Bank AG technology conference on Tuesday.

He added that Broadcom's exposure to the mobile phone industry was broad enough to cushion it from the impact of individual clients.

"One guy loses share and another guy gains it. And we don't generally see much of an impact on share change in the industry," Bibaud said.

Broadcom did not specify the 2009 outlook. Analysts expect Broadcom -- whose chips are used in mobile phones, network equipment and consumer electronics -- to post revenue of $5.41 billion in 2009, according to Reuters Estimates.

Broadcom shares were up 13 cents at $21.20 in trading after the bell. They closed at $21.07 Tuesday on Nasdaq.
