Which Outsourcing Companies Are Thriving in the Recession?

Capgemini, a major global outsourcer and consultancy, is feeling the pinch as automotive and financial companies pare spending amid the recession. Clients include ING Group NV, the biggest Dutch financial-services company, and troubled General Motors Corp., which had billings of 120 million euros with Cap Gemini last year. Operating in more than 30 companies with 92,000 employees – 20,000 of them in outsourcing – the firm recently came out with a new outsourcing suite designed to improve efficiency in client BPO operations. It reported 2008 revenue of EUR 8.7 billion.
