Now that the iPad has finally landed and the world is still standing, it's time to take stock of what -- if anything -- it will mean for enterprises. We know that consumers (mostly) like the device, even if they haven't quite figured out what to do with it yet. But what about business users?
Analysts have cautioned that enterprises aren't exactly ready to jump on the tablet bandwagon, but it's inevitable that employees will be bringing them into the workplace. And the idea of a remote workforce of tablet-equipped employees has a certain appeal in terms of productivity and convenience.
What kind of applications would such a mobile army need? Here are a few that are already available in Apple's App Store.
