Citigroup Vet Joins TMG Health As CIO
TMG Health, a provider of business process outsourcing services for Medicare and Medicaid plans, has tapped a Citigroup technology veteran for its CIO role.
TMG announced that it has hired Bob Masterson to assume responsibility for defining the information technology direction for the company. In that role, he will provide leadership for systems development, applied technology, technical services, data center operations, and business-unit decisions involving IT.
Prior to joining TMG, Masterson held a variety of technology executive positions with Citigroup, including his most recent role as vice president of IT for its Healthcare Systems business unit. During his six years with the bank he also served as head of technology operations for Citibank and head of architecture and data warehouse development for Citigroup.
TMG, which is based in King of Prussia, Penn., provides IT outsourcing services to more than 35 health plans in 50 states, including 14 Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans.
Westaff Names Mark Bierman CIO

Westaff, an international provider of staffing services, has hired Mark Bierman as its new CIO.
Bierman joins the Walnut Creek, Calif.-based company from consulting firm Comsys, where he served as CIO. Bierman brings a decade's worth of senior IT leadership experience, but has also spent 16 years in the staffing industry.
Westaff employs some 125,000 people and provides services to more than 20,000 clients.
Int'l Rectifier Hires Mike Brown As CIO
International Rectifier, a provider of power management technology based in El Segundo, Calif., has hired Mike Brown as its CIO.
Brown joins International Rectifier from Freedom Communications, a media conglomerate with more than 100 newspapers and magazines and a dozen television stations, where he also served as CIO.
Brown will be responsible for the enterprise-wide direction, strategic vision, and business management of International Rectifier's global IT environment.
