MasterCard Promotes Manchisi to CTO
MasterCard Worldwide has promoted Michael Manchisi to the position of chief technology officer, responsible for the company’s computer infrastructure and operations, network engineering, customer support, processing solutions and customer technology relationship management.
The Purchase, N.Y.-based company said Manchisi is succeeding Rob Reeg, who was recently named president of the company’s Global Technology and Operations division. That division, which manages operations in 210 countries, is based in O’Fallon, Mo.
Manchisi most recently was group executive for MasterCard Strategic Account Management, which oversaw partnerships with MasterCard customers and internal business partners
Former Tyco CIO Joins Ad Venture
Former Tyco International CIO Sal Guido has joined an online advertising venture as its new CIO.
Guido will run the IT infrastructure of New York City-based MediaWhiz. The company, which has about 140 employees, provides a suite of online advertising services including display advertising, lead generation, email marketing, and search marketing.
Guido’s IT career spans some 20 years and includes a role as vice president of infrastructure at Viacom International.
eDiets Hires Laura Klein as CIO
eDiets.com, a company which provides personalized nutrition, fitness, and weight-loss programs over the Web, has tapped the healthcare industry to help build out its IT infrastructure.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. company has hired Laura Klein, the vice president of IT at Sheridan Healthcare to fill its CIO role. Klein will report directly to eDiets chief executive Steve Rattner.
