Infor Hires Software Veteran Corgan; Harris Corp. Names Head of Cyber Assurance

Infor, which has quickly grown through acquisitions to become one of the largest providers of business software, announced it has hired IT veteran Greg Corgan to fuel global prospects.

Corgan brings more than three decades of experience to the Atlanta company, previously having led sales and strategy at IBM, Computer Associates and Fair Issac. At IBM Corgan held a series of positions, eventually becoming general manager of worldwide solutions. At Computer Associates he was vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for $3.6 billion in annual revenues.

Infor chief operating officer Robin Pederson said Corgan's skills in managing global sales operations will be leveraged to help expand Infor's international strategy.

"Greg's global perspective, outstanding record of managing global filed operations, deep understanding of the business software market, and overall business acumen make him the right leader to oversee our sales and professional services organizations and help drive our long term success," Pederson said in announcing the hiring.

Harris Corp. Names Head of Cyber Assurance

Harris Corp., a provider of communications and IT services to government and business clients, announced it has formed a new cyber and information assurance division and has hired Major General Dale Meyerrose to head up the unit.

Meyerrose was most recently the chief information officer and information sharing executive for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The cyber and information assurance unit has been established at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla., the same city where Harris maintains its headquarters. The division is developing advanced technologies that will address global information security threats. In his role Meyerrose will be responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, business development and program execution.

Harris currently operates and protects networks for such clients as the U.S. Military, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Meyerrose brings three decades of experience into the role, having served as the CIO in three major U.S. Air Force Commands and three unified Combatant Commands.
