Data storage and infrastructure company EMC Corp. announced that it has promoted Sanjay Mirchandani into the role of chief information officer. Mirchandani, 44, served as the senior vice president for the EMC Office of Globalization prior to the appointment.
Mirchandani will report to EMC Chief Financial Officer David Goulden, and will be responsible for driving technological innovations to meet the needs of the business, as well as leading the company’s network of global delivery centers.
"Sanjay has extensive industry experience, superior knowledge of EMC’s business, and is deeply attuned to the dynamics of business across global markets," said Goulden.
Prior to joining EMC, Mirchandani was a regional vice president with Microsoft, responsible for enterprise services in Asia.
