Campbell Soup Names Spagnoletti CIO
Campbell Soup Co. announced that Joseph Spagnoletti, 43, has been appointed to the role of senior vice president and chief information officer.
He succeeds Doreen Wright, who was credited with leading the successful implementation of SAP across the majority of Campbell's North American operations. Wright decided to leave her post following the project's completion to dedicate herself more fully to her "lifelong passion of supporting the arts."
Spagnoletti has more than 20 years of IT and management experience. He joined Camden, N.J.-based Campbell in 1997 as director of IT for Food Service. Most recently he was vice president of IT for Campbell North America, where he was responsible for the implementation of a trade management system.
In his role as CIO, Spagnoletti will report directly to Campbell President and Chief Executive Douglas Conant.

Air Products Appoints New CIO
Air Products, one of the world's largest producers of specialty gases, has appointed Richard Boocock to take over as the company's CIO.
Boocock succeeds Glen Beck, who recently retired from the Lehigh Valley, Pa., company. Boocock most recently served as vice president of tonnage gases for Europe and the Middle East, but has experience in IT management.
In 2000, he took over responsibility for IT in Europe and in 2001 was tasked to oversee a global implementation of SAP at Air Products, completing the first four successful releases.
Slattery Named CIO for PRNewswire
PR Newswire, which distributes press releases for a wide range of organizations, named James Slattery as its new CIO. Slattery will report directly to chief executive Charles Gregson.
Before joining the New York-based company, Slattery spent 14 years with Dow Jones and Co. While with Dow Jones he was charged with developing the technology to launch the weekend editor of The Wall Street Journal. He also launched Dow Jones' NewsPlus and Global Equities Web sites.
At PR Newswire, Slattery will oversee the strategic planning and further development of the company's global IT infrastructure.
Guy Carpenter Names Trisha Rozas CIO
Guy Carpenter & Co., a global reinsurance company, has named Trisha Rozas to the newly created post of CIO.
Rozas joins the New York-based company from CIT Group, where she served as CIO of commercial finance. She has been charged with "the enhancement and utilization of technology across the entire firm."
Rozas previously worked for AIG, Deloitte and Touche and Chemical Bank. She will report to chief operating officer Charlie Fry.
