All about forums FAQ
This FAQ will help explain how the forums application has been implemented. What is the administrative and user view of a forum?Fireboard has been integrated with groupjive to provide group members the ability to discuss topics that are especially of interest to them. This component has also been integrated with Community Builder which allows for a unified view of forum members.
Major areas of administrative management include:
Configuration
Forum Administration
User Administration
Configuration: The administrator can control the basic settings, look and feel, security settings and file upload settings.
Forum Administration: T he administrator can control the forum categories, topics and threads in this area of the interface. Any offending topics and threads can be removed as well.
User Administration: Community Builder should be used for user management since it has been integrated with this component. However, this section of the component can be used to ban or delete an offending user from using the forum.
Member View:
Registered members will have access to the forum in the user menu with a link titled, “My forums”. Members can participate in any forum in existing categories that have been created by administrators.
