I agree with the latest assessment of the IT landscape. I'm not certain Legacy technologies are on the top of everyone's list. My experience in large enterprises is that it is easier to leverage existing legacy systems such as mainframe rather than replace them. I believe it would be nice to replace these technologies, but the likelihood that you'll get the budget necessary to accomplish full replacement is doubtful. Replacement would be multi-year and phased for most organizations.
