CIOZone Debuts New Market Research Service Print E-mail

CIOZone earlier this week launched a new market research service that links technology executives with investors.

The service, called the CIOZone Research Network, enables investors to survey more than 240 CIOs and other IT executives who are members of CIOZone. The investors can then directly contact respondents.

At first, the CIOZone Research Network will require CIOZone staff to create the surveys on behalf of investors, and the results will be delivered via personal computers. But by mid to late July, investors will be able to review results on mobile devices as well as PCs.

While CIOZone will review the surveys before they are sent out via email, the process will take less time than it does now, said Tom DelVecchio, director of CIOZone Research Network.

"The difference will be that there will only be roughly an hour time lag [before surveys go out] instead of three to four hours," said DelVecchio.

He noted that other IT research services do not allow customers to create their own surveys or interact with respondents on an unfettered basis. With those services, "you still can't design your own surveys, so when you can talk directly with end-users, they aren't the people whom you polled."

The CIOZone service will cost about $35,000 annually, which DelVecchio said was less than half as much as what other market research services costs.
