I really need a IT mentor as I have this problem where after working at a organization for over 4 years, Im not going somewhere within the team.
People are just slaving of me, and move up the leather after I mentored them. Mananement are overlooking me, and I don't kno what the problem is. Is there someone out there who can inspire me to climb the highs?

Hi Francoise, I would suggest you to start searching for a Manager level opportunity else where if that's what you're seeking.
From experience, I've met a gentlemen who is great, expert at his line of work (IT), been in the field for 10 years eagerly to move up the latter to managerial level. But:
1. Management staffs views him as an technical hands-on person.
2. His personality is great, gets along well with everyone, but he's extremely funny and makes everybody laughs with funny face expressions and jokes. People don't take him serious because he's just a great all time funny guy!
3. They need him where he's at because he's so good at it.
4. His Boss was not going anywhere, so most likely, he's not going anywhere as well.
I'm not sure if you fall within these category, but these kept him back and he changed jobs, now he's a Director. More serious, business like person, etc.
If you're looking to stay and advance, you need to be open to your communication with your boss. Let him know your plans and how he can help you get there.
Hope you acheive what you're looking for.
