Forrester Research recently predicted that online retail sales for the pending holiday season will reach nearly $52 billion in the U.S., a 16 percent increase over last year. In 2009 online holiday sales grew only 8 percent over the previous year, thanks largely to the global recession. This holiday shopping season, which Forrester defines as encompassing the months of November and December, holds more promise, but are online retailers ready?
