Implantable Provider Group (IPG) announced earlier this month that Marty Smith has been hired as CIO. Smith is charged with expanding the company’s technology capabilities to help grow its customer base and integration initiatives, according to company officials. Smith’s experience includes holding technology positions at ChoicePoint, Home Depot, and respitory therapy management company TeraTx.
Marty understands the critical nature of technology infrastructure to support high-growth companies like IPG, said Michael Jones, president and chief operating officer of IPG. His expertise is exactly what we need at this point in our development, and we are extremely pleased to have him on board.
IPG works to improve the quality, affordability, and access to medical device therapies in fast-growing markets such as cardiology, neurology, and orthopedic implants, according to company officials. Based in Alpharetta, Ga., the company provides data-driven analysis and management tools for implantable devices.
