Since the iPhone's release questions have been repeatedly raised about its usefulness in the enterprise. At least one software company is betting that the iPhone can play a serious role.

iPhone users can view operational reports, business charts and graphs, as well as dashboards featuring key performance indicators (KPIs), utilizing the phone's touchscreen interface.
McLean, Va.-based MicroStrategy says including built-in support for the iPhone means users will be able to access the same reports on their phones that they currently access from their desktops. As an example, the company said a pharmaceutical salesperson can review the latest market share reports, prescription sales and inventory data to prepare for a sales call.
