CIOZone.com Integrates Social Networking Applications

| With this beta release of the CIOZone.com, we will have deployed several Joomla based open source social networking applications including Community Builder, GroupJive, Fireboard Forums, and Mamblog blogger. We wish to thank the Joomla community for all of the contributions they have made to our deployment.
The CIOZone.com platform is a fully LAMP based operating environment. All of the applications share a common user database that is defined and maintained in a component known as Community Builder. Additional social network functionality, features, and applications are layered on top of this database and integrated through the various menu menu systems and internal hooks of Joomla. Many challenges were presented along the way and the platform is constantly evolving as we discover new ways to present our content to our community and encourage their feedback and participation.
