About the Company

Our Mission
To create a highly interactive experience in which users not only become active participants in their community, but also take on the role of custodial guardians of their community, for the collective benefit of all IT professionals. CIOZone supports and practices the philosophy of professional philanthropy.

About CIOZone.com
CIOZone™ is the First and Only ProSocialTM Network for CIOs.

CIOs are seeking help from other CIOs more so than ever before. They want new and innovative ways to connect and network. Today, CIOs prefer to network and collaborate with peers, on-demand.

CIOZone is the first of its kind online meeting place for CIOs. It is built upon the foundation of social networking and combines user generated content and expert editorial together around an open source platform. This environment encourages and enables CIOs' participation in creating and directing the development of their very own network and ensures their participation in it.

CIOZone is the only CIO site that understands that "it's lonely at the top" for CIOs. They have no peers in their respective organizations and therefore need to rely on help from their counterparts at other companies. This is why CIOZone caters to the highest common denominator in the IT Management universe and restricts access to CIO only content and features.

CIOZone is the only business technology information source that qualifies and organizes its members by peer groups. A unique tiered structure allows CIOs exclusivity from all other non-CIO titles. CIOs are free to interact, network and engage only with peers of their same level, or they can opt to interact with the senior IT community at large whenever they desire.

CIOZone clearly differentiates itself from every other CIO information source in the marketplace. CIOZone is the new industry standard in B2B media. CIOZone is the first and only ProSocialTM network for CIOs launched in this new era of social networking. CIOZone has no ties to any 'old media' publications or web sites. And unlike one-dimensional social networks that simply enable personal connection, CIOZone provides the critical information and knowledge sharing that CIOs require in order to successfully do their jobs.

About PSN, Inc.
CIOZone is a PSN, Inc. company.

PSN, Inc. is a business to business media and marketing services company that links buyers with sellers inside professional environments through the fusion of professional social (ProSocialTM) networking and interactive technologies.

PSN, Inc. is leading the charge of providing interactive business networks through online meeting places that will function as universal rallying points for today's high-powered business and industry leaders.

Business executives of all ranks, ages, and nationalities in all industries need to connect and interact with one another to ensure the success of their companies and their careers. They need to network, learn about emerging trends, solve business problems and especially to exchange ideas and uncover business leads.

Until now, the means for this crucial interaction was time consuming and expensive. Today, interactive technology facilitates that needed ProSocial networking in an on-demand fashion.

Content of CIOZone

CIOZone consists of several key elements all of which leverage contemporary forms of interactive and Web 2.0 technologies to communicate, inform and educate members.

Peer Networks
This allows CIOs to seek out and establish links with other CIOs in similar size companies, in like industries, or in similar situations. It allows them to exchange ideas, tips, techniques, and thoughts one-to-one, instantaneously.

Expert Advice/Solutions Services
CIOZone staff fields questions from the community and uses the community's resources—its editorial staff, its data repositories, and other members—to obtain, vet, and supply the right answers to all queries.

Those queries and others make up CIOZone's topic bulletin boards. Questions are also posted here by members, and open to all members to weigh in. Each topic center is monitored by community CIOs, who answer questions themselves or direct queries to CIOZone's staff for resolution.

Research & Surveys
CIOZone undertakes a major research project each month and provides its findings to the community. All research is made available to members of tier one, a majority of the research is available to tier two, and executive summaries of findings are released for general consumption.

Education & Careers
Online forums including video, virtual trade shows, webcasts and white board presentations bring the CIO community and the vendor community together to exchange ideas and knowledge. Special reports target each of the tiers. This portion of CIOZone also posts thought-provoking academic research papers, the latest findings from the key IT research organizations, CIO submitted white papers, interviews with thought leaders, and relevant papers from the likes of McKinsey, Wharton, and MIT. (Vendor supplied white papers, if judged to be of general interest by community members, are also posted.)

The section also contains topic-specific wikis that are started by CIOZone's editors and then are opened up to contributions by the members. (CIOZone also conducts "emergency management/disaster planning" sessions online. In the case of a hurricane, for instance, the editors bring together specialists who educate and instruct CIO members on how best to protect their companies' assets.)

Opinion & Insight
Chief information officers, leading academics and the veteran editorial staff of CIOZone provide commentary, opinions and analysis on key technology trends and business news in blogs, online editorials, and columns. In addition, a membership blog gives voice to any participant in CIOZone.

Events/Calendar & Online Roundtables
CIOZone's calendar keeps track of the dates CIOs need to remember for important online and offline gatherings. Event listings include upcoming webcasts, virtual trade shows and online roundtables. These are online get-togethers where CIOs—and invited vendor guests—talk about important technology and business topics.

Rankings & Lists
CIOZone's surveys, research and reports are culled into useful lists—the top software companies, hardware companies; top consultants; best places to work, etc. These are not only useful and informative, but generate a lot of buzz.

CIO Case Studies
The editorial staff of CIOZone takes the hard experiences of various members and produces case studies that provide education and insight for other members.

Technology, Tools and Benchmarks
Interactive ROI calculators help business and technology executives justify the cost of their technology expenditures. This section also includes technology primers on the latest technology breakthroughs to provide a quick overview of benefits and pitfalls. Also included is a directory of services available from the vendor community.

Industry Updates
Daily reports and updates to members on what's new and interesting in IT management.
